Fort Steilacoom Invitational
Ft. Steilacoom is a medium-sized Invite. There are currently 81 teams
registered. It is a tough course, but a great opporunity to practice
courses that change, and aren't just like running a track. There is a
very fast first mile, followed by two
big hills, where you will have to practice downshifting up the hill, and
hitting the gas hard on the way back down. One of the best parts of this
meet is the Top 7 JV Race. This race lets that next group up, who are not
Varsity, get a Varsity experience. Our team will be very deep this year,
meaning our JV runners will be similar to a lot of teams' Varsity runners,
so we will do very well in this race. Last year's highlights were,
Becca winning in a new course record of
17:42.2, as well as our top group of boys in the Sophomore race all having
big PRs on the tough course.
